Since the start of the Covid pandemic last year I have been experimenting with making still life images in my basement. What I call my stool top studio, because of where I place the items I am photographing. Keeping it as simple as possible by bypassing the use of any artificial lights and only using window light and a reflector. So far I am very pleased with the results.

Been awhile since I photographed at the cathedral for myself. Photographed a number of events there and made images specifically for the never ending book project but for myself, not so much. Kind of a can't see the forest for the trees kind of thing I think. Any way I did come away with an image I'm happy with, the ceiling of the nave. Sometimes it's a good thing to look up. For once I prefer the color version rather than black & white. That doesn't happen very often...

Rachel, Charlie and me. Beginning of a long drive back across the country. My baby is moving back east after two years in Tucson. Distance from family and the climate was just a little too much. Don't blame her. Where will she land, time will tell but for the summer they will be with us. Yea for us!!!
