The end of summer is almost here. I know we have another three weeks of "official summer" but really, Labor Day weekend is pretty much it. Haven't spent time photographing this summer other than a couple of grab shots on a trip out west and a few shots of family members. Pretty typical summer for me in that respect, fall, winter and spring seem to get my juices flowing more when it comes to photography.

Have some ideas for projects and areas I would like to go photograph and maybe, just maybe a short quick trip to a place I haven't been too in a very long time. And there are always existing and past projects to add to.

Came across some new music this summer (at least new to me) that when I heard it I thought it would make a great soundtrack for still images. Currently when I make a slide show set to music it usually goes collect the images, realize I might have something, search out the music and then go build the show and see if it works. Now I'm thinking, what kind of images can I produce that will fit these pieces of music? An interesting challenge. I have a couple of ideas.

So all in all a busy "season" lies ahead. Still have (always have) projects around the house to do, renovating a bathroom seems to be high on somebody's list, mix this in with paying work and the lazy relaxing summer is definitely over.

Image above is one of the few from this summer. Liam and his Mom & Dad came to visit for a few days. He seemed to really enjoy his giant floating turtle!
