We speak of lost in negative terms. Lost is bad, found is good. I have frequently said that I do not get "lost", I just don't know where I am, but honestly I get lost a lot.
In my wanderings around the Hudson Valley I find myself lost on a regular basis and I would not have it any other way. Being lost heightens the senses, being lost can be freeing, being lost allows you to open up and really see, it lets your curiosity take over.
Curiosity has taken me to more places than maps or heaven forbid GPS devices ever have. More interesting places, places to see with your eyes wide open and sometimes places of wonder. When you are lost there are lessons to be learned.
My daughter recently moved to the southwest, I'll be visiting soon. Another whole part of the country to get lost in, can't wait!
Some where in New Mexico...
