It really doesn't bother me that my daughter-in-law Jess has been making better photos of Liam than I have lately. She should she's his Mom. What bothers me is that she is doing it with an i-phone! That's just not right. Having spent my entire adult life as a professional photographer and having owned more than my share of cameras the idea that a phone with a camera can compete is unsettling. Yes, I know it's all about using the camera that you have with you and everybody seems to have a phone with a camera these days, but really a phone? Maybe it bothers me because in spite of owning one of Apple's latest, greatest phone/camera wonders I can't do it. Try as I might, and I do try, I just can not get a decent image out of one of these things. Many people do, many professional's do, everybody does, except me. National Geographic even has a guy walking around the world documenting his trip with an i-phone and they are publishing the images! Think it comes down to I just can not hold some thing that light steady enough. That and the fact it doesn't have a viewfinder. Holding it up and trying to look at the screen is a nightmare for me, can't see anything. Think I'll just stick to my tried and true cameras. But I'm really glad Jess is doing so well with her i-phone. I really like seeing all the pictures she sends us.
